Fed up with commissions? Connect your reservations link to your own online reservations tool rather than to a consumer platform’s booking tool.
Using Google My Business brings more diners to your tables. Provided they can see relevant information in your restaurant profile, that is. Information such as a reservations link. Add one yourself, in four easy steps.
Use your own reservations link and save on commissions
Do you have your own online reservations system? Connect it to your reservations link rather than to a consumer platform’s booking tool. Otherwise you have to pay commission on reservations that come in through Google. That would simply be a waste of money.
How to add a reservations line to your Google My Business profile:
1. Go to www.google.com/business and click on Start now. Select your restaurant from the list.
2. Click on Info to review and edit your contact details.
3. Click on the pen icon under Website to edit your links.
4. Add the link from your reservations page in the Reservations URL field and click Apply. Guests searching online for your restaurant can now easily reserve a table directly with you.
Tip: make sure guests land on the correct page
Make sure guests land directly on the page where they can make reservations. For example, your dedicated reservations page or the page with the reservations widget. That way you avoid losing them in the reservation process.
